Regain your life and health through weight loss and advanced laparoscopic surgery.
Thank you for visiting our website. If you are severely overweight and have tried everything imaginable to lose weight through conventional means such as dieting, exercise, behavior therapy, and/or drugs, but have been unsuccessful in your attempts, then weight loss surgery may be right for you.
Our practice is based st the St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and specializes in bariatric surgery (weight loss surgery) for morbidly obese patients and is a recognised "Bariatric Center of Excellence"for its safety and results. Among the many laparoscopic or minimally invasive procedures that we offer are laproscopic gastric banding also knows as Lap Band or Realize Band or adjustable gastric band, gastric bypass (Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass) and vertical sleeve gastrectomy. Safety and effectiviness of our approach is validated by 0% postoperative mortality and morbidity lower then average for other Centers of Excellence in over 1000 bariatric procedures.
Our general surgery patients receive all the benefits of minimally invasive surgery with shorter recovery and decreased risks after laparoscopic surgery for variety of diseases: laparoscopic colectomy for cancer, polyps and diverticulosis, laparoscopic hiatal hernia repair with Nissen fundoplication for giant diaphragmatic or hiatal hernia and/or gastro-esophageal reflux, laproscopic ventral and inguinal hernia repair which have became a state of the art approach to abdominal wall hernia associated with lower rate of complications and very low recurrence rate as well as laparoscopic gastric surgery and laparoscopic splenectomy and other minimally invasive procedures.
We offer our patients two new incisionless surgical options for treatment of insufficient weight loss or recurrent obesity after gastric bypass procedure and gastroesophageal reflux disease with no or small hiatal hernia: StomafyX and EsophyX. These endoscopic procedures performed through the mouth under anesthesia allow to reduce the size of gastric pouch opening (stoma) increasing restriction and facilitating early satiety and re-create normal valve between esophagus and the stomach relieving constant heartburn and decreasing or eliminating daily use of antacid medication.
